STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The success of Birkey's Farm Store has always been centered around the ability to recognize the needs of our customers. We are a company that strives to live in the hearts and minds of the communities we serve. But we recognize the key to survival in this marketplace is to be ahead of and to respond to customers' need more quickly and decisively than our competition.

MOMENTS IN HISTORY
After 50 years, the milestones in Birkey's growth continue to accumulate, as does its devotion to providing the best customer service available. Birkey's is privileged to be your choice, and we'd love to share some of our most memorable moments - which couldn't have happened without you.

1954
The Evolution Begins.
Four partners, one store in Fisher, IL, and an IH franchise form the first incarnation of Birkey's Farm Store, Inc.
1957
It's Growing.
Birkey's has acquired the IH franchise in Thomasboro, IL
1959
We're Building.
New store built in Rantoul, IL to consolidate Fisher and Thomasboro locations
1967
It's Still Growing.
IH franchise acquired at Paxton, IL. New building built along Route 45N.
1969
Recognition.
Birkey's is the first Steiger dealer East of the Mississippi.
1978
Growing Again.
IH dealership acquired at Hoopeston, IL. New building built along Route 1 S.
1983
Growing Strong.
IH dealership acquired at Williamsport, IN.
1985
Merge & Grow.
Chrysler franchise acquired at Williamsport. JI Case merges with International harvester Co.
1987
Still Growing.
IH dealership acquired at Urbana, IL. Rantoul location closed.
1988
We Expand.
Case Construction Equipment franchise acquired at Urbana, IL.
1991
Merging.
Birkey's merges with Oakland Farm Supply in Oakland, IL.
1992
Merging Again.
Birkey's merges with McGrath, Inc. of Gibson City and Hudson, IL.
1993
Administration.
Birkey's reopens the Rantoul store as an administration office.
1994
Moving.
Administration office moves office to the former Chanute Air Force Base.
1997
Log On.
Birkey's introduces birkeys.com on the Internet.
1998
Another Move.
Birkey's - Williamsport moves Chrysler store to new building in Attica, IN.
1999
Expand Again.
Birkey's purchases Service Equipment in Mattoon, IL adding another Case Construction store to the family.
2000
Into the Millennium.
Administration office in Rantoul builds on to serve as the Parts Distribution Center. Case Corp. and New Holland merge.
2001
Expanding...
New Holland farm equipment now carried at Gibson City, IL.
2002
Continued Growth
Birkey's - Hoopeston now carrying New Holland farm equipment line.
Birkey's opens new AG location in Galesburg, IL.
2003
Fore!
Birkey's adds a Golf & Turf division to the lineup with Jacobsen.
Birkey's also opens another location in Western Illinois - Macomb.
2004
Golden Anniversary
Birkey's celebrates 50 years in business.
2005
Expansion Continues...
Birkey's purchases Prophetstown Equipment in Polo & Prophetstown, IL.
2006
More Expansions...
Case Construction equipment now carried at Galesburg & Hudson, IL locations.
2007
Dealer of the Year
Birkey's chosen as the 2007 Dealership of the Year from Farm Equipment magazine.
